Learn how civic involvement makes a difference as state officials address Nebraska homeschoolers!
February 26th, 2015 — 9:00am-3:45pm
ALL TOUR SPOTS ARE FULL!
Lunch has been moved to the Fellowship Hall (basement) of First Baptist Church due to the amazing response. First Baptist is across from the Capitol on the northwest corner of 14th & K streets.
This is the day to bring your children to the state capitol and have them learn about the legislative process.
Plan to
- Take a tour of the Capitol and the Governor’s Residence
- Observe the Legislature in action
- Listen to the Governor, Chief Justice, and Senators talk to you about important bills and issues
- Meet other government officials
- Have your children enjoy an interactive lesson on how a bill becomes a law
Plan ahead to meet your senator and share your vision for home education and parental rights. You can contact your senator directly or call the office of the Clerk of the Legislature for assistance: (402) 471-2271.
This event is free and open to all homeschool families in Nebraska.
